IT'S A GIRL!!!

Today I had my 20 week sonogram and got to find out the sex of baby 3!!!  It's another girl!!!

I have had 3 vivid boy dreams, took all the crazy old wives tales test, looked at the Chinese calendar and it all said boy.....and I've had salty cravings, especially pickles...  I did not have any cravings with London or Kinley.  All my friends and family, including Matt said it was a girl though!!  I was prepared to her "It's a boy" today but got to hear "It's a, well another girl!" instead!!!

I was so nervous going into my appointment.  Last night I was restless and went to bed late and today my stomach was in knots, I started sweating at one point, and I just had a sick feeling.  I don't know why... maybe because this was our first real look at our baby.  With Kinley I had a sonogram at every appointment so I was constantly reassured she was o.k.  BUT, since we have only had one look, at 8 weeks, of this baby, I was a worried about what we were going to see.  I think every mothers fear is seeing something unexpected.

London wanted to go with us to find out so I picked her up from school on my way to the Dr.  She was a nut at the office.  I think the excitement of finding out was a little to much for her.  I kept asking her on the way to the appointment if she thought it was boy or girl and she just said, "I have no idea."  I asked her what she wanted, a brother or sister and she said she wasn't sure.   I thought she would be thrilled when we heard 'It's a girl!" but she didn't really react.  She just kept saying she wanted a boy so she and Kinley could scare him and so he would be the one to always get in trouble.  Obviously she doesn't realize that having a brother doesn't mean never getting in trouble.  Ha!!  I took her to get lunch at McDonald's (YUCK) ... but it was her choice then took her back to school.  I know she will adjust and be happy with a new sister, it just will take some time.

After the sonogram my Dr. came in and said everything looked good.  My placenta is a little low so we will get another sonogram later on once I've grown to see if it has moved up any.  That is about it!!

Poor Matt is already getting so much grief from everyone about having 3 girls.  All he can think about is the cost of 3 weddings.  Ha!!  Maybe we can convince the girls to have one big group wedding.  ha ha!! He loves his girls though and is the best daddy to them.  I told him the good thing about all girls is that girls always come back home!!  We don't have to worry about our boys leaving us and being pulled to  their wives family!!  We just have to make it thorough the teenage years with 3 hormonal girls :)

We are so excited and just need to buckle down and choose a name!! We like Holland and Beckett but London says Beckett is too close to Becky and doesn't like it. Ha!!  The opinion of a 6 year old :)  So, that leaves us with Holland which I like.  BUT, it is hard to find a middle name that flows well AND I have to decide if we are going to be 'that' family with kid names that are cities/countries.

Let the decorating and baby girl sewing begin!!!!

Sea World

So we had a chance .... thanks to Nana .... to take the girls to Sea World and we had a blast!!!

We loaded up Friday, late, and drove to San Antonio.  After a mandatory stop at Buc-ees we  got to our hotel.  I swear they were pumping laughing gas into our room because both girls went crazy, laughing and jumping on the beds and dancing around.  It was hilarious.  We met up with the rest of the group.... my aunt, cousins, and my sisiter and her boyfriend.  Thankfully my cousins little one was just as wound up as my two!!  After a short visit and game plan for Saturday I took the girls and miraculously got them to sleep.  Actually they were so worn out from the trip and the burst of energy at the hotel, they went down pretty easy!!!

We all met in the lobby for breakfast then headed to Sea World!!!

After Sea World we walked down the River Walk and ate a late dinner.... again the girls were silly but really good at the same time.  It didn't take much to get them to sleep.

Sunday we slept late and the all met at Mi Tierras for lunch and headed home.  The girls got a much needed scrub down and we were all in bed early.

Kinley looks asleep in the pic.  Ha Ha!!  They love bubble baths in the big tub!!

The girls absolutely loved Sea World and Kinley came back saying she wants to swim like the dolphins!!  London's favorite was the boat ride and the sea lion/otter/walrus show.

MOMMY, MOMMY, MOMMY

Whew....  A weekend full of Mommy, Mommy, and more Mommy!!!

Friday London's school had the Kindergarten Mommy Makeover...

It was the cutest thing ever.  The classroom was set up like a mini spa and each kid had their own station, the teachers were dressed in black with cute little aprons acting as the receptionist. After the mommy's got checked in, the kids escorted us to their station and got to pamper their mom.... I'm talking the works.... hair, make-up, massage, mani's and pedi's and lots of hugs and handmade gifts (my favorite part).  Just picture it, a bunch of 5 and 6 year olds making over mommy.  It was precious and had London asked me to go out in public with her afterwards, I would have.....OK, I might have re-done my hair!!!  I did however walk around for 2 days with two different colors of nail polish on my toes....hot pink on the left and irredessent orange on the right.

Matt left town Thursday night so it was all Mommy Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Saturday we got up and took a bike ride to the donut shop.  I got a little over ambitious and decided to ride on to the park down the street.  After playing at the park for a while... and I promise we were there long enough to work off our donut... I called it quits and loaded the girls up and we headed home. It was a LONG ride back home and me and my 18 week pregnant self pulling Kinley in the bike trailer wasn't sure if I was going to make it all the way back home.  :)

We made it home, I rested and re-hydrated and then my crazy self packed up a picnic lunch and we headed out for park #2.  It was a blast and the girls had a blast.  The ducks were not afraid to get up close and it made for a really fun picnic.

Matt came home just in time for dinner Saturday and we had pizza on the porch.  I was so glad to see him home.  He went to Fort Worth for a golf tournament and met with a realtor about listing our house.  Hopefully the market is better now than it was a few years ago.

Sunday was more Mommy.... Mother's Day.  I got to sleep in a little and then was woken up by two sweet girls saying 'Happy Mother's Day!" and holding hand made cards.  I am so lucky to be a mommy and it fulfills every part of me.

We went to church and then out for a quick lunch, stopped by London's favorite ice cream spot for dessert then home for some outside fun.  We had a fancy dinner.... left overs.... and then all crashed!!

RANDOM ACTS OF FUN

With the weather warming up we've been spending more and more time outside and doing all those fun summer activities.

London loves having lemonade stands.  Our family recently participated in Relay for Life and as a fundrasier, London sold lemonade and cookies and gave all the money she made to our team!!  She made a whopping $75.00!!!  YAY London!!

We participated in Relay for Life last weekend and had a great time.  Our team won the super team trophy which was pretty much the same as best team over all in all categories.  We also won best costume!!!

In other fun summer news we've hit up the local snow-cone stand several times.  It is definitely going to be one of our favorite spots this summer!!

AND..... it's finally great 'walk to school' weather.  I just have to get used to leaving a little earlier than usual.

Kinley got to eat her breakfast on the go!!

Finally we have gotten into bubble baths lately......

The girls love it but their poor skin just can't handle too many bubble baths in a row.  Thank goodness for Aveeno ezcema cream to repair the bubble bath damage!

And in baby news, all is going well.  I'm now 17 weeks now and I've been eating pickles like crazy (how cliche' ...  i know)!  I went to the doc today and the heartbeat was strong at 165 bpm.  We get to go back in 3 weeks to find out the gender and have a detailed sonogram.  I can't wait!!!

EASTER 2011

Well, I'm just getting around to posting Easter stuff.  We had a fun busy weekend with family and the girls had a blast.  We headed out Friday and Matt's mom baby sat the girls so we could go out.  We went to see 'Insidious' which was pretty good.  We used to both love horror films....until we had kids.... and we haven't been to one since.  It was pretty good and not too scary or realistic and had enough humor thrown in to balance it all out.

Saturday we went to my cousins in-laws and had a great lunch and the kids had a giant egg hunt.  I'm talking like 600+ eggs!!!  Needless to say all the kids got a basket full of candy and eggs and had a blast!  I made the girls and Morton matching bunny outfits for the big egg hunt and my cousin made them matching Easter baskets.

We even had a visit from the Easter bunny himself.  Kinley wasn't too sure of him a first but after a little warming up she managed to get in the picture.

And of course all the grown cousins had to get a pic with the bunny.

Saturday after our big lunch we went to Matt's mom's and had Easter dinner with his family.  The kids had a blast swimming and playing with their Easter toys from Grandma.

My sister bought a tea-cup bunny... 'Sadie'... and the girls instantly fell in love.  That poor bunny hardly got put down the whole weekend.  She sure made for some cute pics though!!

The girls woke up early Easter Sunday and hunted eggs from the bunny.....

and got so many fun Easter basket goodies

We managed to all be dressed and on time for church too..... this was the best family pic we could get after church.

After Easter Sunday church my side of the family came to my moms and we had a big Easter lunch and another egg hunt.  The kids swam some more and then we all headed home.

It was a great weekend and so fun to be with the whole family.  It felt like Easter growing up!!

HAPPY EASTER!!
